This can happen if you overfill above the required dipstick level. take off the valve cover and check the gasket. Better to be under the level than over. The oil preassure will try to blow from where ever there is a weak gasket. WebJan 30, 2015 · Well, the new centrifuge cover is installed. Turned out to be about a 30 minute job. The old covers' o-ring was permanently molded flat, I guess by age and heat, so that pretty much explains the leak. Looking at the inside of the separator with a mirror, it was spotless inside from what I could see. Thanks for any suggestions and happy motoring! C

Also check the hose from the cover to where it connects to the intake and make sure it is free and clear of obstructions. Basically, this is a modern take on the old PCV valve.
